I am busy these days, but it's a sweet business.
The last week, starting from April 29th, the "Golden Week" gave the whole of Japan a one-week-holiday. It is a week in which 4 holidays occur, and so it is usually used by companies and just EVERYONE to close the bureaus for the whole week and send the whole staff on vacation.
Thus, all tourist attractions in the whole country are crowded.
We had great weather most of the time, it was warm and sunny.
Plus, I got visitors. First, my dear friend Mercè from Spain, who started a student exchange at Kyoto, came over to Tokyo and stayed at my place for several days. At the same time 2 friends of my brother from TU Berlin, who are studying in Shanghai these days, also came over.
I was extremely busy, going to Tokyo everyday (2 hours one-way), drinking, guiding, hanging out, it was so much fun! I had a great week, and I hope, you guys had a great week as well.
When school started again, I did something to improve my shape.... Actually, I have not done much workout these days.... So I, having finally cured my cold, joined the Volleyball circle "Belle Child". (There are clubs and circles. Clubs have training at least 5 times a week, while circles are just for fun, so they meet once or twice a week).
So now I play volleyball every monday and thursday evening, and it is SO much fun! You can say a lot of bad things about japanese group spirit, but when it comes to SPORTS it is just great, that whenever you make a mistake, the others of your group will be like "Oh, sorry, I passed that ball so badly to you!"... Nobody feels bad or stressed, for it is just F U N . And they are really good! Most of them were in volleyball clubs while they went to school, and so they are almost all better than me. But I am GANBATTING and will improve!
One funny thing: Dog girl is also in this circle. When I found out about this circle, I decided I would join as soon as my cold is ok. Still, I knew how badly dog girl wanted to play volleyball, but not in the volleyball club (training 6 days a week, sundays matches). So I gave her the pamphlets I had.
She joined. It just seems that she was extremely upset when she found out I would also join HER circle. Haha, what's her problem? Without me, she wouldn't even KNOW belle child existed. So she should stop complaining. Haha, you should see her, when she always does her best to ignore me in the gym, while we are playing.... Well, I don't really mind that. There are around 40 People in the circle, and so there are more than enough people to hang out with. And they are all so lovely. One is even in my macro economy class. Haha, suddenly I made a lot of new friends here, who I will meet every now and then on the campus. It is really very nice.
