DIY Biatch!

After so many months of LOVE for the most beautiful shoes in the world I finally couldn't stand it anymore.
These are the wonderful huge ribbon Buffalo London pumps with the threatening 10 cm stiletto heels and the evil price of 100€.
As I prefer shoes I can use for university and other everyday stuff (I never go out at night, so why should I buy shoes I never wear???) these heels were a little too much - even for heel-loving me.

So after a lot of thinking and planning in my mind I finally set out to get myself 3 meters of black satin and a pair of fairly comfortable, reasonably priced black heels. I found some good quality shoes on sale for just 40€, and they matched the satin perfectly. That being done, I started to measure, try this and that and here and there, and finally cut the satin into several pieces to make ribbons in the end.
Then I had my mommy help me with the sewing machine, and together we produced two beautiful and gorgeous black satin ribbons. The last part was the hardest. I had to sew the ribbons onto the shoes, and the shoes were thick and the needles were thin..... I had to prepare all the holes with a really thick needle, then I started to sew the ribbon onto the shoe.
One needle died in the sewing process and I can't count all those bleeding spots in my finger tips...
Even my green friend couldn't save me from all those severe wounds.

Anyway, I didn't give up and tatatatataaaaaaaaaaa:
They look AT LEAST as cute as the original. They are, as far as I can tell (due to blisters any shoe hurts me these days), easy to walk in and quite comfy.

Ready to ribbon the streets with my fabulous and super sexy.naughty.bitchy shoes!

Total material costs: 52 € (Shoes = 40€, Satin ribbon 3m = 9€, silk thread = 3€, willing-to-help-mommy = priceless)
Total working hours: 13
Football games watched while sewing: 5

  4. Cosplayer? Dafür bin ich dann doch zu sehr auf Alltagskleidung ausgerichtet...
Cosplay könnte man ja nur 1-2 Mal im Leben anziehen. Dann doch lieber was für jeden Tag :D
