haha, i don't believe it, the japanese control you even when you have returned home! or at least they try to....
that is what my german friend who returned to berlin some days ago experienced now.
she had a motorbike here and sold it, before she left. she had quite a lot of trouble with it, because there was a chinese guy who wanted to buy that bike, so she waited for him to come and get it for 2 weeks. he had said he'd "definitely want to buy it". when he finally came to see it it was 2 days before she'd leave. he came, watched the bike (he had seen it countless times before!) and said "well, it's a bit small, isn't it?"...... nevertheless, he tried to ride it, and then it turned out that he had no idea where the brakes are..... you already see where this is going?
haha, yeah, that guy did not even have a driving licence!
instead, he started to tell my friend about that exam he would have soon, and how awfully hard it would be, and how sad he was that she was leaving because she was such a nice girl......
she went totally mad and just left him, standing there and talking. i mean, can you believe it? he had just tried to hook her up, and for what? she was leaving, anyway.
fortunately she had another friend who wanted to buy the bike then, so she sold it 1 day before she left. but it was a lot of stress to do all that in such a short time, and everything just because of that stupid chinese guy.
haha, well, that was just the bike-story, so that you guys will understand what i will now tell you: my friend had just talked to me in msn 1 hour ago, telling me she got a mail from one of our caretakers, in which he asked to whom she had sold the bike. so she asked me to tell the caretakers that it was someone who did NOT live in one of the student dormitories, and so i just went there and told the caretaker woman that she had sold it to someone who had nothing to do with the dormitories, and then that woman explained to me how uchida-san (the mail-writer) had been sooooo worried, because if that new owner might get into a traffic accident, this might affect the girl who is already back in berlin...
helloooooooooooooooooo! she sold the bike! she has absolutely no connection with that anymore. and even if she had, is that the caretakers' business? haha, i don't know if you guys who are not in japan can laugh about it as much as we just did... on the one hand, we are already so used to being so overprotected here, on the other hand, whenever we have some new situation like the one just now we do, once more, see how absolutely strange all of this is.
