i really feel bad for i had started this new blog and then did not post a thing.
well, i had not only final exams (don't ask, just don't ask, ok?) but went to a great ski-trip afterwards, after that, i helped a friend to pack her stuff for she was leaving japan 3 days ago. so i have been quite busy all the time, and i hope everyone's going to forgive me that...
so, what's new in nori's world?
the situation in the dormitories is a bit sad, because some of the really great people i have met here are leaving these days. though i am sad on the one hand i am also a bit excited because new people are about to come, i am especially looking forward to the new norwegians and finnish.
and we also got to know that there are about 50 koreans about to come, 30 of them staying in l-kan. for all of you who do not know about the dimensions of this dorm: we were, in the last semester, perhaps 50 girls. in the WHOLE building. only the north wing rooms were used, the rooms on the other side of the building were empty. about 4 days ago they started to build and renew the south wing, so we do at least know now where they plan to "store" the korean girls. there are also some hawaiians to come as well as (rumour has it) italians...
well, i don't know how many people we are going to be in the next semester, but it seems like it's going to be quite a lot.
bye bye internet, i'm afraid. even the last term it was hard to get to the internet sometimes, especially since we only have 2 access slots for notebooks (why the hell won't they buy a bigger cable thingy with... like 10 slots?), now it is probably going to be impossible. however i'l try my best, of course.
the lobby has completely been emptied and strange men are doing strange things behind those doors, i suppose they renew some things there, but i have no idea how the final result will look, well, i'm looking forward to it...
so far the l-kan situation.
anything else which is worth being told? well, i am trying to book a hotel for me and my parents these days and hope i'll be successful, why do things like this take so much time?
and i follow the winter olympics with much interest, as they are the by far most interesting thing i have ever seen on tv since i came here. yesterday i watched for appr. 100 times how this chinese figure skater woman crashed on the ice and they still got the silver medal. the day before the highlight was that snowboard loser from japan who was so like "yeah, i'm da man" and then totally screwed up his performance and started to cry into the cameras. those japanese always ALWAYS start to cry, come on, can't they stop that? it's just a big show and nobody takes them serious anyway, so what's that all about?
idiots.
ok, so guys, you see, this is what i spend my time with... observing building lots and the olympics, for there is not much more to be done these days. i am horribly tired and sleep at least 11 hours a day, and then i hang out with the guys or do cleaning, i also watched some movies... not that interesting...
oh yeah, yesterday, you know what I did on valentine's day? no. i did not have wild sex with my secret lover. no, i had to do a report about the hiroshima peace museum. wow. we had to gather at 10am (on holidays! you mad guys or what?), all the russians and germans, and had to hold reports about the great INTERESTING places we are about to visit next week on a 3-day-trip to hiroshima and kyoto. well, i am really looking forward to the trip, but listening to 20 reports about 20 sights is just too tiring for my taste. especially since i did my own report the night before until 4 in the morning and thus had only some 4 hours of sleep.

after endless weeks of trolling, i finally forced myself to write something concerning your adventures. and the first thing that comes to my mind:

however, i'm glad you posted some news, i allready started to wonder whether nori's world became some kind of boring. oh wait... you had to listen to 20 reports... uhm. nevermind.
my holidays (who calls that holidays? there's no fitting english word for "vorlesungsfreie zeit" so i leave that to you) started last friday, the one and only advantage one has when his university is in golm aka centre of the whole world (students in berlin have to go until this friday höhö). besides the fact that there are only 80 people in the whole faculty studying music. a small disadvantage if you mess up with one of the profs. and i'm really good in messing up with'em. but sadly, they will get their revenge due to the fact that i have to prepare for my intermediate exam in Musikwissenschaft. that means i have to learn appr. 2000 years of history. and let me tell you: there are truly some freaks which are called great composers nowadays. alexander skrjabin? heretic. richard wagner? anti-Semite. Kagel? now we're becoming really bizarre. phew.
and for some reason, i am constantly asked about being repetiteur for half of the singers in my faculty. ok, there's no need for me to practise those songs and it seems that i reached a level of playing where i get paid for this (made 50€ today just for playing for 20 minutes. sounds like a deal). and the people who ask me are really nice most of the time. but it sucks up my time like a big black hole. why are there no days with, let's say, 48 hours? would be fine for me.

ps: currently playing in a jazzband with 7 other cool musicians + planning to play solo in café's + planning a programm with clarinette + playing skrjabin, gershwin and schumann. do you think about starting with the pianothing again? would be nice, so we could jam together when you're back in the great land of germany Oo.

you know, whenever we sing nothing else matters here (and we do quite often) i have to think of you, do you still remember how you used to play that in MuZ? i didn't even know the song in the beginning...
ha, so happy to finally get some message from you! i miss you! must admit that i didn' start the piano thing again, but .... fjust for getting the chance to play with you once, i might some day....
