When I got up on friday I expected a pretty much boring day filled with nothing but studying. It turned out to be highly eventful though.
After some work for university and a strange E-Mail that kind of made me think "What's going on here??" I decided to have an extended lunch break which I'd use to go to Alexanderplatz and get that beautiful ring I had discovered. I had wanted to buy it instantly, but it was too big for me. So I thought I should get one that's actually my size.
Turned out my size is too small for small rings. (16, but many rings are only made in size 17 and bigger.)
Buuuuut in the end it was the only ring I liked, so I decided I'd rather pay for the fitting than get a ring I don't really like.
At Alexanderplatz, Star.FM were having a barbecue to fight the winter, they had said that in the morning on the radio, but I was not too interested. Still, I thought it was a cute idea.
I also checked Saturn and Mediamarkt for my desired birthday present, and ----- yeah, what did I expect? EXACTLY at the very place where I wanted to check and compare prices the alarm signal was on - and it was LOUD! Turns out the alarm system had crashed. They needed several minutes to fix it. All that time I stood right next to the siren.
A minute after they finally made it go quiet I was done and had to leave anyway. My ears hurt.
When I was about to leave Saturn market I noticed a strange-looking man passing me by, from right to left. Turkish. Headphones in. Checked out me and the gentleman walking in front of me with very strange eyes. Then he looked away from us and I followed his eyes. On my left, there was a young man walking towards the same exit as me. There were two taller men behind him. The turkish man suddenly walked faster and bumped into the gentleman, but proceeded towards the young man. The latter suddenly started running, but he was already surrounded by the three men. He was trying to beat them, but they threw him down and pinned him to the ground. He was still struggling and yelling, and they were yelling back. Then one of the guys took out handcuff....
I don't know what that man might have done, the official police news didn't say anything about him. Anyway, it was really thrilling. A real arresting!
I went to Orsay and bought two fabulous new dresses, then I returned home and studied some more.
My brother then asked me to come with him to a friend and watch DVDs. I really like being at that friend's place, so of course I said yes.
5 minutes later my brother got a call, and the plans were changed to "DVD, then party"....
OF COURSE I had to wear my newest dress :)
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss, I know I'm boring for always bragging about nothing but my dresses, but then again, they're my only joy in life :)
So, yesterday, for the very first time in my life, I watched Roman Polanski's The Fearless Vampire Killers and I loved it. Really funny and great. Afterwards we went on to that ominous party.
OH MY FUCKING GOD.
I don't like parties. That particular one kind of reminded me of the reason. It was a "We're moving out" party which basically means that the apartment looked just like the hallway: Dirty and shabby. No furniture. The wallpapers dirty, brown and ugly. Lock for the restroom was broken. You could hardly walk for the place was crammed with people, and I daresay at least 70% of them were perfectly stoned. Somehow we managed to enter the kitchen, and there were still some slices of a delicious-looking chocolate cake.
Bwaaah, I'm not dumb enough to eat a cake in that kind of flat with that kind of people. I can imagine what special ingredient they put in it.
I turned out to be totally overdressed, even though due to the weather my dress was paired with fur boots. The dresscode seemed to be more the kind of ... ... well, let's call it "Szene" . Maybe I am just wrong in thinking that a dress should COVER your bra, not reveal as much of it as possible.Oh, and I guess golden crowns should be everyday wear, really, darling, you didn't look hilarious, nooooo......
So, as for me: the chicks were ugly (not the faces, but in terms of the motto "There's 2 types of women - beautiful ones and lazy ones."), the guys were a catastrophe aaaand, actually, at least half of them were gay. The air was filled with the disgusting smell of marihuana, whenever I heard some conversation of the others it was stupid and uninteresting. I don't dance, so I couldn't do that either.
Weeeeelll, at least there was one "dancefloor" that had music like Dirty Dancing, Quickstep, Slowfox and stuff, and even though I don't dance it was nice standing there, listening to the music and watching the others.
The police had already been there by that time, but we all know how these things work, right?
First time: Guys, a little less noisy, please!
Second time: Ok, we're taking the stereo with us.
Third time: Party's over, folks.
My bro and I eventually left, our three friends stayed.
One of them seemingly managed to talk long enough to a girl to at least leave the party together (don't know what they were planning though), but she fell on the street and was unable to get up on her own. They had to call an ambulance.
The two others made out (though, as far as I know, the girl has a boyfriend who's HOT) and she didn't sleep at her place tonight....whatever that means.
The police came at least one more time, but I don't know what they did.
I don't really get why people have fun at these events. Maybe it's the dancing. Still, those people there were all boring me to death, I don't get why people want to spend every single weekend like that - To me, all those parties are just the same. Why do those people think they are NOT boring, but people like me are? To me, their life must be unbelievably boring, for they do the same thing every friday and saturday.
Hm......
From the conversation my mom and I had today about that party while she was sewing her golden crown on a blonde wig for her costume party tonight:
N "Die hatte so ne Krone auf dem Kopf wie du."
M "Ach, ne Kostümparty?"
N "Nee, die war einfach bescheuert."
I completely agree. There couldn't be anything worse than lazy, smelly, "arty"/let's make myself important people on drugs and crammed in a small apartment with ska "music" you cannot dance to. booooooooorrrrrrrrrring. I'd rather be "boring" that having to endure that crap.
ReplyDeletemaybe we just don't get it. and hopefully never will.
Thank you, dearest cousin.
ReplyDeleteI just don't get why you have to be all drug and dirt experienced to be considered interesting or "living life to the fullest".
Are your and my lives less worthy because we are who we are?
I should write a book about my generation, speaking for the "boring" people...
