My Teeth Pt. 2

JUDGEMENT DAY

The seven days are over and I've been a really good girl.

I applied the gel twice every day and did everything just as it was supposed to be done. As I only wanted to bleach the teeth that are visible (as well as the most yellow) I only applied the gel to the six central teeth in the upper row and the 8 central teeth in the lower row. I figured that IF the stuff would really turn out to be very aggressive I would at least not have ruined all my teeth.

So, now for the results! I'll show you the "before" picture once again:

Now here comes the "after picture:

I took both pictures at night, standing in the exact same spot with the same lighting. I even wore the same hoodie in order to provoke my camera to balance the colours in both pictures as equally as possible. Still, you can see from my skin colour that the lighting is not exactly the same.

Anyway, fair enough, eh?

I had my doubts, but it seems like the stuff actually worked. My teeth got whiter. The "after" picture looks a little better than real life, so the real effect was not as much as this picture might implicate. (On a side note, when I just inserted the photos for this post I had to double-check which was the "before" and which was the "after" picture. I couldn't tell at first sight....)
The spaces between my teeth are still quite yellow, it seems that either I couldn't reach in there with the brush, or there's a particularly thick crust of tea leftovers there, but all in all I am satisified with this result and I have a feeling that my teeth look a lot more even on the surface.

The gel was easy to apply and it was not hard to not eat or drink for the next 20 minutes. However, they wrote that it might be that the teeth get very sensitive during the seven days, and if that happened, one should better only use the gel once a day or even pause for 2-3 days.

I did not have to pause, but still I could feel a sensation on my teeth whenever I applied the gel, and now, after the seven days, although I don't actually feel pain, there is actually still that very sensation, as if my teeth were "stressed".
Well, they DID get stressed for sure. Now that the stress is over, I hope they'll recover soon.

It was said by people on the internet (the MOST TRUSTWORTHY lot there is!) that the effect wouldn't last for too long. They didn't specify what that meant, so I hope for at least 3 months of brighter teeth. There is still some gel left, so I guess I'll wait some weeks (or months) and then start a second round of treatment with the rest of the gel.

Last but not least: It seems Ingo wanted to check out my new bleached teeth as well. Today he greeted me from his favourite place. Great. (Though he's very small and I guess he'll be gone in a week.)
